Send your RFQ to [email protected] in your own file, exactly as your system produced it: Excel, PDF, a scan or the email body — five lines or five hundred. There is no template to fill in and nothing to retype.
What to include so the quote is right the first time
- Part number, exactly as printed on the part or in the IPC, and the quantity. If alternate or superseded numbers are acceptable, say so — see interchangeable part numbers.
- Conditions you can accept — new, new surplus, overhauled, serviceable, as removed. The codes are explained in our condition codes guide.
- The release certificate you need — FAA Form 8130-3, EASA Form 1 or dual release. Which one and why is in 8130-3 vs EASA Form 1.
- Aircraft or engine type, so interchangeability can be checked rather than guessed.
- Where the part has to go and by when — and whether the aircraft is on ground.
