What to put on a Rotax RFQ

  1. Engine model and serial number — 912 UL, 912 ULS, 912 S, 912 iS, 914, 915 iS or 916 iS. Applicability of a part can change with the serial number, so the serial lets us check it against the parts catalog rather than guess.
  2. Part number and quantity, exactly as in the Rotax illustrated parts catalog. If you only have an old number, send it: we look up what replaced it.
  3. The paperwork you need — the manufacturer's certificate of conformity, an FAA Form 8130-3 or an EASA Form 1. What each one is and when it matters is in 8130-3 vs EASA Form 1.
  4. Where the parts go and by when.
